The fundamental pathological medical changes in autism have been identified within the brain, involving nerve cells (neurons), synaptic structures of neurons, synaptic network connections, and synaptic transmission pathways, as well as the number and functions of other important cell groups embedded in and responsible for brain function. The findings have been published in numerous articles across hundreds of scientific journals.

In this context, special education aims to influence and indirectly guide the structures, configurations, and functions of neural cells and synapses in the brain through previously studied and defined behaviors, utilizing the principles of neural and synaptic plasticity.

A holistic medical approach, on the other hand, aims to directly intervene in the primary pathological medical changes observed in the brain in autism, making necessary interventions possible. This approach also facilitates the control and regulation of pathways responsible for brain-related issues, thereby enabling both the resolution of existing problems in the brain and the prevention of pathological changes by controlling and regulating the pathways that lead to these issues.

The holistic medical approach allows for direct intervention in problems within the central nervous system and the brain.
