A triangle appears in the pathological changes seen in autism. The upper corner of the triangle is brain, neuro-inflammation; the lower corner is intestinal microbiota balance and disorders in two barriers (gut-brain and blood-brain barriers); the lower corner is energy metabolism; ATP synthesis from mitochondria. These three systems are also related to each other in health and sickness.
