The relationship between autism and microbiota can be viewed from two perspectives. 1. The relationship between maternal intestinal microbiota imbalances in the pre-pregnancy and pregnancy periods in terms of triggering the process 2. The effects of the imbalances in the intestinal microbiota of affected children, the disruption of the protective functions of the intestinal brain barrier and blood brain barriers, the increase in permeability process, and the negative consequences it may cause in the brain. In fact, the system is a whole, and there is an overall balance. Microbiota imbalances can be re-established with autism- or person-specific targeted probiotic formulations.
