Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)/autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder, a disability. It is primarily characterized by regression in language skills, social skills, and sequential, meaningless, restrictive repetitive movements. In addition to these findings, in early infancy, a lack of interest in vocal stimuli, inability to turn the head and look in the direction of the sound when called by name, lack of eye contact, fixed interest in moving objects, and regression in motor development can be listed among the accompanying findings.
