The following should be said about heavy metals:

1. Random chelation is not performed without measuring the levels of heavy metals and determining their quantities.
The intracellular and extracellular heavy metal levels in plasma should be determined by measuring them using the ICP MS method.

2. Chelation is not performed at every high level or value of heavy metals. For example, for lead: <5 μg/dL is Normal, 5-10 μg/dL is High, > 10 μg/dL is Toxic, while >45 μg/dL is considered the chelation start value (In the revised guidelines post-2012).

3. The chelation duration has been set to 1-3 months. After this period, heavy metal level measurements are repeated and decisions are made based on the results. If the heavy metal levels have decreased sufficiently, chelation is stopped. Lifetime random chelation applications are not conducted. Natural active ingredients can be used in chelation therapy.
