It is unrealistic to aim to overcome or eliminate autism as a primary goal in practices based on scientific literature for alleviating and reducing behavioral disorders seen in autism.

Being able to acquire self-care skills like their peers, express themselves, initiate and maintain social interactions, and continue their education under suitable conditions for themselves may be considered more reasonable and sufficient.

The disappointments that can occur at the end of unrealistic goals can also lead to a decrease in the patience, energy, and interest necessary for the long-term process.
